When we imagine a mechanical workshop, we generally and usually think about dirt.

Oil and grease that infest every machine and from which you risk being “dirtied”, if you are not careful.

Furthermore, workshops are considered a source of pollution because of the lubricants used for mechanical processing.

This was probably also true in the past and certainly it is the same in some countries where green regulations aren’t yet as well implemented as in Western countries!

Anyway, we would like to point out that in our country it is no longer conceivable to work in certain sectors without guaranteeing the respect of sustainability rules.

Even in our company we started being committed in this way many years ago.

The interventions were in various areas, all essential to guarantee production in compliance with the regulations.

Today we talk about the lubricating-cooling oils that we have been using for several years now.

These coolants, which can be defined as green, are vegetable-based cutting oils, formulated with raw materials from renewable and biodegradable sources.

But what are the main advantages of these cooling lubricants?

Here are some:

– no more mineral oil mists containing carcinogenic substances;

– better surface finishes and extended tool life;

– absolutely non-toxic, biodegradable products, obtained from renewable raw materials and without exposure and explosiveness limits, therefore exempt from the R.E.A.C.H. regulation;

– very high flash point and very low volatility

All for the benefit of: hygiene, health, safety, reduced consumption.

These advantages are unthinkable with traditional mineral-based oils.

With these new lubricating-cooling oils we wanted to think about the green impact, but also about the health of the operators who spend more than 40 hours a week on these machines.

These oils also bring these significant advantages:

1.Eliminate PAHs (Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons) present in mineral-derived oils which pose carcinogenic risks (in particular Benzo-a-pyrene).

2.Reduce the formation of oil mists.

3.Use raw materials without exposure limits (5mg/m3 for mineral oils)
